2 Wigeon, Shoveler, 6 little Egret – Langford Lakes – John Osborne

OSPREY - over Wiltshire on 9th. This satelite tagged bird started it’s days journey at Kielder Water but was over Swindon by midday traveling at up to 87km/h. At 4pm it had reached the north French coast but continued out over the Bay of Biscay overnight and made landfall at La Coruna, Spain at 8am on the 10th. The Bird continued until 7pm by which time it had reached southern Portugal, a journey of 1067 miles (1718km) in 37 hours.
