Much of the Wiltshire landscape is dominated by farmland and though poor for rarities it does support large populations of declining farmland birds including Corn Bunting, Tree Sparrow and Yellowhammer and also smaller numbers of Grey Partridge.
WOS works alongside the RSPB, FWAG and others to study these species and also to contribute towards efforts to reverse the declines.
