Terry Bond “Autumn in the Isles of Scilly”
Terry, a WOS member, has been a birdwatching photographer for more than 45 years. He has lectured with his own slides for 30 years, published articles and photographs, as well as broadcasting on radio and leading bird watching trips.
The Isles of Scilly, a mecca for twitchers and general birdwatchers alike, are famed for the unusual birds that can occur there in the autumn, including some of the rarest birds ever to be seen in Britain. However, with a wide range of birds, a variety of other fauna and flora, a surprising mixture of habitats and surrounded by the sea and superb views, there is much more to Scilly than rare birds. Terry has visited the islands on more than 35 occasions and his talk, spiced with anecdotes of birding memories, provides a colourful view of the attractions of the Isles of Scilly in autumn.
Admission: £2.00 to include refreshments.
Visitors welcome.
