Bentley Wood, Nr Winterslow

Sunday 21 July 2019; 9.30am, Bentley Wood, Nr Winterslow. 

At this quiet time of the year, a walk in this 1700 acres SSSI where we hope to enjoy flowers and butterflies as well birds. As well as a wide variety of woodland birds, there is a wide selection of flora present including several species of orchid. If the weather is fine, butterflies we should see include White Admiral, Silver Washed Fritillary, and hopefully Purple Emperor. The meeting is likely to last until early afternoon, so some lunch should be brought.
