Shearwater and Heaven's Gate

Wednesday 24 November 2021; 9.30am Shearwater and Heaven’s Gate, Nr Warminster.

An autumn walk in these extensive areas of woodland which will include a walk beside Shearwater Lake. We should see a wide variety of woodland birds, Siskin, Crossbill and possibly Redpoll. On and around the lake we should see Great Crested Grebe, Little Egret and possibly Goosander. The meeting is likely to last until early afternoon, so lunch should be brought. 

The leader will be Graham Stacey, details of his mobile number and the exact location for meeting is on the programme information sheet sent out with the Summer edition of WOS News and will also be given on the forthcoming events email which is sent at the beginning of the month in which the event is held.
