Swindon Sewage Treatment Works

Saturday 4 December 2021; 12.00 midday, Swindon Sewage Treatment Works, Swindon.

Many members will have enjoyed Matt Prior’s recent Zoom talk on his conservation work over many years at the Sewage Works. Now is your chance to see the works ‘on the ground’ so to speak. Matt will give us a tour around the lagoons and explain their history. Walking around we should see a wide variety of birds including Snipe, Teal, Chiffchaff and hopefully Jack Snipe. There is a large Jackdaw roost at the works and Matt will demonstrate the use of the thermal camera at the roost.
