Sunday 26 June 2022; 9.30am, RSPB Winterbourne Down reserve, Nr Newton Toney
A return visit to this 730 acre reserve east of Amesbury. Our leader will be one of the reserve wardens who, in addition to showing us around, will be able to explain many of the management techniques employed on the reserve. This is a reserve for farmland birds so we may expect to see birds like Yellow Bunting, Skylark and hopefully Stone Curlew.. At this time of the year there should also be plenty to see on the flower and butterfly front. Numbers will be limited to 20 members, so those wishing to attend should book a place via Granville Pictor (contact details on programme or in the email given below ) after 1 April 2020. There will be a charge of £3 for RSPB members and £5 for non RSPB members. Morning meeting only.
Details of the exact location for meeting is on the programme information sheet sent out with the Winter edition of WOS News and will also be given on the forthcoming events email which is sent at the beginning of the month in which the event is held.
Information relating to WOS field meetings in general is given on the Programme.
