A winter visit to this reservoir south of Bristol.   It is one of the most important in the UK for wintering wildfowl such as Shoveler, Gadwall, Teal, Goldeneye and Pintail.  Wintering waders and divers are a possibility and there should be a nice selection of gulls to identify!  The visit comprises a few level walks of a mile or so, plus viewing from various laybys around the lake, to which we will drive. Toilets and a cafe are available, which is a bonus!  All day visit, so bring large picnic hampers!  Telescopes are advisable but not essential, as we can share.

Details of the meeting place and the mobile number of the leader will be in the monthly email which is posted either at the end of month preceding the walk or at the beginning of the month in which the walk is to take place and is also on the Programme which has been sent with WOS News.
