Axford and Ramsbury Lake

A walk of about 4.5 miles in this relatively little watched part of North Wiltshire.  The route is largely flat, with one short incline, and can be muddy if it has rained, there is one stile to negotiate.  The route roughly parallels the River Kennet and encompasses marshy ground, open country, wooded areas and Ramsbury Lake so a good range of species should be seen.  The meeting will last into the afternoon so lunch should be brought.  There are no facilities, and please car share where possible.
