Sunday 28 February, Acres Down, New Forest

A gentle walk around the New Forest where we hope to see Lesser Spotted Woodpecker (hence the early start), Goshawk and Woodlark.  We should also see good numbers of winter thrushes and hopefully Brambling in the Chaffinch flocks.  Car parking space is limited and it's a popular location, therefore car share wherever possible.  Please note that parking charges now apply.  Members are advised to download the RingGo app and familiarise themselves with the information in the following link: https://www.forestryengland.uk/new-forest/parking-information.  The parking charge for more than four hours is £8, and it is possible to make payment by midnight on the day following the visit.
